When the Veggie Grill restaurant first began, many of the vegan products that have become staples in the plant-based fast-food revolution didn’t exist. Co-founders Kevin Boylan and T.K. Pillan started the Veggie Grill and Stand-Up Burgers brands back in 2006. Driven to take a stand and change American food culture for the better, their restaurants have empowered millions of customers to not only try vegan food but to crave it.
T.K. Pillan is helping to continue the plant-based momentum. Mr. Pillan has served as a director for Stand-Up Burgers since 2006 and is currently serving as the company's Executive Chairman. He also co-founded and continues to manage Powerplant Ventures, a venture capital fund designed to help other plant-based businesses grow.
The progress that vegan brands have made since 2006 has allowed the multi-brand platform Veggie Grill to make a lasting impression on customers and continues to drive the plant-based industry.
