We’ll provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). This all-important document breaks down all of the details of our business and the franchise opportunity. You’ll be able to learn what you can expect from us and, in turn, what we’ll expect from you as a franchisee. We encourage you to meet with an advisor or lawyer if you require clarification on any legal terms.
We’ll have you attend a Discovery Day at our headquarters, where you’ll be introduced to our leadership team and learn more about our company culture. It’s a great opportunity to meet face-to-face and establish rapport with one another before becoming partners.
After Discovery Day, you’ll be presented with your franchise agreement. This contract indicates that you agree to the terms outlined in the FDD and franchise agreement. Once signed, you’ll pay your initial franchise fee, and we can get started!
Stand-Up Burgers can assist you in locating or evaluating the site for your restaurant. We have an established list of criteria, as the key to being successful is all about location. As part of our criteria, we consider general location, neighborhood, traffic patterns, parking availability, size, building characteristics, and lease terms.
We’ll provide you with specifications for the design and layout of your Stand-Up Burgers restaurant. While planning, construction, and obtaining permits take place, you’ll complete our initial training program.
Before you open a vegan franchise, you, your Operating Principal, General Manager, and up to two Crew Lead personnel must complete initial training. Training for the Operating Principal and General Manager is a 6-week operations training program at our headquarters in Culver City, California, which includes: orientation, kitchen training, equipment training, cleaning and sanitation procedures, FOH/expo station, and more!
After training, you’ll obtain and maintain insurance, comply with federal, state, and local license, certificate, and permit requirements, and more. We’ll provide two weeks of on-site training at your location along with marketing support to get you ready to open!
